MISSION
We have two major reasons for existing beyond offering a basic high school and college preparatory curriculum: to support the learning of the two languages that dominate the lives and cultures of the peoples who live in our region, and to integrate academic learning with the experienced realities of natural world that is the basis for life on earth.ATTENDANCE
Students may attend this charter school from throughout the district. Transportation is provided in the morning for students by either the middle or high school bus that services the area. The students are then shuttled to Tierra Encantada. In the afternoon, two buses take the students home, since the bell schedule does not accommodate the district by shuttling students.Tierra Encantada Charter School Student Location Map (2009-2010)

Since charter schools are structured differently than the Santa Fe Public Schools district schools, there are no recommendations. However, any legislative actions should be monitored that may require the district to house charters in district facilities and the contracts for each charter should be reviewed as soon as possible to determine the long-range success of each charter school and the feasibility of continuation.
